In 2017, Hannah Wang from the Wisconsin Historical Society (WHS) introduced us to an ambitious electronic records preservation project called, WiSPER.   Join us as Hannah describes their work in this 3-year long National Historical Publications & Records Commission grant funded project which focused on managing, preserving, and providing access to electronic records.

Learn about WHS’s work, including;

  • Implementing best practices and processes for managing electronic records at the agency level
  • Establishing a sustainable electronic records transfer management system
  • Preserving and providing access to the electronic records statewide

This presentation will cover the results of their project, the resources produced by the project team, lessons learned, maintenance needs, establishing digital tagging, technologies used, and WHS's plans for the future.

  • 11:00 to 11:30 - Registration
  • 11:30 to 12:30 – Program and lunch
  • 12:30 to 1:30   -   Networking

We will be meeting at the Hill Farms State Building, Rooms N133 and N134.  Bring an ID, as visitors may need a badge to get into the building.  Parking is available in the paid ramp next to the building. Visitors must part in the designated visitors parking.  We look forward to seeing you there!
